School is back in session ... ukulele-style, with a little harmonica on the side.

June 1 kicks off a fresh series of 4-week group courses - Level 1, Level 2, Fingerpicking, and Harmonica. Class size is limited so sign up soon!

We've all been isolating as best we can to protect ourselves and each other - take a group class and spend some quality time laughing and playing with others.

Level 1 Ukulele - Learn how to hold, strum, tune, make chords, and play a song without falling out of your chair! Get started, take it as a refresher, or recommend it to a friend.

Starting this Tuesday, May 12 at 1 pm

Starting June 1: Mondays at 11am, 3pm or 5:45 pm

Starting June 2: Tuesdays at 5:30 pm

Starting June 3: Wednesdays at 3 pm

Starting June 6: Saturdays at 11 am

Level 2 Ukulele - We'll cover more chords, more strumming patterns, and coordinating it all into more fun ways to play the songs you love.

Starting June 2: Tuesdays at 3 pm

Starting June 3: Wednesdays at 11 am or 5:30 pm

Starting June 6: Saturdays at 4 pm

Ukulele fingerpicking - We'll learn fingerpicking techniques that you can apply to all genres of music, including classical, pop, and country/bluegrass.

Starting June 4: Thursdays at 3 pm

Intro to harmonica - Learn how to toot out a melody, bend notes, and become confident in playing a tune. Harmonicas are proven to help strengthen your respiratory system - something we should all be working on as we fight off Covid-19.

Starting June 2: Tuesdays at 11 am

Starting June 4: Thursdays at 5:30 pm

All four weekly courses give you a deep and light-hearted dive into playing the ukulele or harmonica. Beginner classes get into the basics of playing, the more advanced classes build on what you've learned to help you play more smoothly and confidently. It's fun to learn with others and to take part in the next best thing to playing together ... at least until it's safe for us all to gather together again in person. O, I can't wait for that day!

All courses are $35 for 4 weekly 1-hour classes.

Private Zoom lessons can help you untangle those challenges - find out more about them here.

To register for group courses

Send me an email with your top 2 class time choices and I'll confirm your spot and send you payment instructions. NOTE: The Monday 5:45 class that starts on June 1 is offered through UVM's OLLI program and you must register through them.

If you don't already have a ukulele, see the Mother's Day piece above for some hints on how to get one.

Keep playing your uke and soaking up its natural (and scientifically proven) ability to lift your spirits. Pair that with the harmonica's proven ability to keep your respiratory system up to snuff and you'll be all the healthier all around the more you play 'em both!

Stay healthy so we can all get together as soon as it's safe. I'd love to see you and your uke when we can!
