Ukulele Clare Performance, Class & Event Calendar

This calendar covers everything I do. Click the links on what you're interested in if you'd like more information.

You're welcome to bring your uke and play along at certain performances (indicated with "Play along.") For play-along gigs, feel free to download a Ukulele Shenanigan packet, which will contain songs that we'll likely play.

January

  • Play along Fun, lighthearted, weekly Ukulele Shenanigans! Wednesdays, Jan. 4, 11, 18 & 25 @ 6-8 p.m. EST, online via Zoom. A live jukebox for ukulele players! You choose the tunes from a list of 200+ favorites, Ukulele Clare and Rebecca Padula lead the way and we all play together! Slow & easy for beginners from 6:00-6:30, with tips, Q&A, and lots of singing and playing. At 6:30, it's anything goes, drawing from a list of 200+ songs. More info here.

  • Course Find Your Blues Voice With Your Ukulele: Sundays, Jan. 8, 15 & 22, 4:00-5:30 p.m. EST, via Zoom - Vocal coach Jody Albright joins Ukulele Clare and Rebecca Padula to delve into growing your singing and playing confidence, with the blues as our guide. More info here.

  • Course Intro to Ukulele - 1-session workshop: Tuesday, Jan. 10, 6:30-8 p.m. EST, via Zoom through the University of Southern Maine OLLI program. Dip your fingertips into learning (or relearning) the basics. More info here.

  • Course Intro to Ukulele Level 1: Mondays, Jan. 23, 30, 6 & 13, 6:00-7:00 p.m. EST, via Zoom, through the UVM OLLI program - Learn the basic chords and strums you need to start playing your favorite songs. More info here.

February

  • Play along Rik Palieri's monthly SongFarmers Jam, first Thursdays, Feb. 2 @ 6-8 p.m. EST Carpenter-Carse Library (69 Ballards Corner, Hinesburg, VT) A fun, folky jam for all levels, all instruments, run by folk troubadour Rik Palieri. Masks optional.

  • Course Intro to Harmonica - 2-part course: Tuesdays, Feb. 7 & 14, 6:00-7:00 p.m. EST, live at CVU High School (369 CVU Rd, Hinesburg, VT) - Have fun learning the basics of finding melodies, chords, and the elusive bend on the harmonica. More info here

  • Course Intro to Ukulele Level 1: Thursdays, Feb. 9, 16, 23 & March 9 (no class 3/2), 6:00-7:00 p.m. EST, live at CVU High School (369 CVU Rd., Hinesburg, VT) In this lighthearted class, you'll learn the basic chords and strums you need to start playing your favorite songs. More info here.

  • Play along Dick Mosehauer's monthly acoustic Jam, third Thursdays, Feb. 16 @ 6:30-9ish p.m. EST Carpenter-Carse Library (69 Ballards Corner, Hinesburg, VT) A fun, folky jam for all levels, all instruments. Masks optional.

  • Course Level 2 Ukulele: Mondays, Feb. 27, March 6, 13 & 20 6:00-7:00 p.m. EST, via Zoom through the UVM OLLI program. In this lighthearted class, you'll learn more chords, strums, embellishments, and playing well with others.  More info here.

  • Course Irish Song Tune-Up: Tuesdays, Feb. 28, March 7, & 14  6:30-7:30 p.m. EST, via Zoom - Have a lark of a time learning your favorite Irish songs before St. Patrick's Day!  More info here.
