Ukulele performances and Shenanigans

Ukulele Weekly Mini Shenanigans

Lift your spirits and improve your playing when you sign up for any or all of the weekly Shenanigans. We'll play as many tunes as we can. Anyone can join with any instrument or just their voice! Between songs, I'll answer questions about ukulele technique to help you grow your abilities as we go. In this Shenanigan series, we'll draw from the Shenanigan Packet but it's fair game to request tunes from this expanded list. Everyone will be muted except for me or whoever is leading a song. If you would like to lead a song, please email me at least 3 days in advance and include the song sheet, which I'll share. I'll screen-share all the songs we play. Level of play will span beginner to intermediate and the goal will be to have as much fun as possible!

WHEN: 6 p.m. - 7:15 p.m., Wednesdays Nov. 4, 11, 18; Dec. 2, 9, 16, 30; Jan. 6, 13, 20, 27

What's more fun than playing the ukulele? Playing with a pack of ukulelians!

At Shenanigans and Ukulele Clare performances, all levels of ukulelians and singers are welcome. Shenanigans can happen anywhere: Farmers markets, libraries, private parties, music venues .... We usually play from the latest Shenanigan packet (updated regularly). Know of a great venue or event that needs a Shenanigan? Want to hold one at your party or community? Let's talk!

  • Rebecca Padula & Friends Rebecca's style could be described as a folk-rock espresso with a shot of bluegrass and a hint of jazz. Her smoldering alto simmers over guitar, ukulele, tenor banjo, or telecaster to create an intimate and varied show that often includes her own originals and works by others. She draws deeply from a roster of musicians to flesh out her sound to blend well with any venue and audience. Ukulele Clare brings on the ukes, dobro, and harmonica.

  • Leadfoot Louise is a slightly twisted Americana string band, drawing deeply from a variety of genres, including bluegrass, Tin Pan Alley, blues, Irish, rock, and pop. Lead singer Rebecca Padula takes the occasional turn on the uke, Ukulele Clare plays ukuleles, dobro, harmonica, spoons, and whatnot; and even Dan "The Fiddle Man" Wyman gets a turn on the uke.
