  • Take the hum-drum out of your strum
Strumming is the engine that drives the groove and emotion of a song - yet many ukulelians find it challenging to move beyond a basic pattern that can make all songs sound the same.
In this lighthearted, 90-minute workshop, you’ll learn how to lift your favorite songs off the page and unlock greater ease in your ability to strum. We’ll use old favorites from classic rock, jazz, and folk genres as our guides.
A free meal and evening concert follows the workshop.

This class is designed for for ukulelians who can already strum fairly steadily and can change easily among basic chords, including A7, Am, C, D, Em, F, and G. It is geared for adults 18+.
NOTE: While we don't cover baritone chords in this class, and it's geared for high-G tunings, the basic principles apply to all instruments. Geared for adults ages 18+.

  • WHEN: Saturday, January 18, 3:30-5:00 p.m. (Wild weather make-up date: Jan. 25), followed by dinner at 5:30 (included in your registration), then a free performance at 7:00-8:00 p.m.
WHERE: Sherman's Store (1137 Route 153, West Rupert, VT)
COST: 90-minute workshop: $25; potluck and evening concert: Free! (Bring a dish if you can, don't worry if you can't).
