Private and group lessons

When you take a private lesson, you get the benefit of your teacher's undivided attention so you can drill into exactly what you need to play your ukulele or harmonica the way you want to play. That's exactly what we'll do: We'll talk about what you want to work on and we explore the best way for you to achieve it.

I offer group and private lessons for ukulele and harmonica students, covering a variety of aspects of playing that include technique, very basic music theory, how to play well with others, tips for memorizing tunes, and whatever other gnarly things you want to conquer.

Feel free to drop me a line for answers to any questions you may have.

  • Via Zoom or FaceTime: $40 for up to an hour. Out of an abundance of caution while Covid-19 presents a danger, I am currently offering lessons only online via Zoom or Facetime. Please call (802) 922-3616 if you are interested in discussing options.

  • Want a lesson for you and your team, friends, staff, or co-workers? For additional participants, add $20 per person.

  • Lessons for kids: I recommend a half hour for those kiddos who might not be able to focus for a full hour. Often, the adult will continue with the lesson for the rest of the hour to work more on the lesson to enable them to better assist the child in between lessons. For young kids, I also recommend that a parent or guardian take the lesson along with the child, not only to help focus the child but so the adult can practice along with the child between lessons, making the parent a better support person to encourage and help the child progress. There is no additional fee for a parent who accompanies a child in the lesson.

  • Don't have a uke? Ukes available for purchase.

  • For harmonica lessons, we use Harmonicas in the key of C for classes. Harmonicas available for purchase.
